How do I get good?

What always worked for me was to avoid playing badly.
And water, drink a lot of water.

If you dont know how to get good at something you fail as sentient being. There are no secrets in life.
Memorize table base, work with computer, think like computer, become Alpha Zero. You will do just fine.

If you are bad in real life, try to be good for a change.
besides the fact that forums are a good source of information, I am always surprised that this kind of question is not answered by a simple google search

www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-d&q=how+do+i+get+good+at+chess

Since a long time, we always make about the same answers
everyone has their own advice on this or that book, on an opening that would be better than another, on the tactics (wood pecker or not ?), on what to work on first on the best youtube channel...
in fact each case is particular and I am not sure that the author of the question has his answer, especially since sometimes his level is often satisfactory. But sometimes I have the impression that he is looking for a miracle solution (like : you work this technic 10 minutes a day and you will win 100 elo in 1 month)
we are all chess players with our own background, we are not all coaches

to be good is only a long way.
How can i get good i have been 9 months in chess and nearly everybody beats me.

Look i may be bad at chess but i think the best way is observing other players and see their tacktics

Okay. If you want this type of study then really the best thing you can do is to critically look at each game of your own. Look at best continuations either alone or with your friend. Analysing your games will help tremendously. But be serious about it and do it after every game.

Water - probably the best advice here.. the old "ah I didnt see that move" after looking at the board for 20 minutes... can quite possibly be attributed to not hydrating well enough.
While that wont help you improve, it will help you stay focused and fresh and play the best moves you are capable of playing at your level.
