Local analysis problems? Please read this.

Lichess is experiencing network issues due to stale cache entries for files hosted in multiple regions by our content delivery network Cloudflare. As a result you might see local analysis report failure to load or simply spin and not function. To work around this, select the gear menu in the upper right of the analysis window and then choose "Stockfish 14 NNUE", "Stockfish 11 HCE", or "Stockfish 11 Multi-Variant" from the Engine dropdown. Then a simple page reload should get analysis working again.

We appreciate your patience as we work to resolve this ongoing problem.

If you're experiencing problems and want to help us fix them, perform these steps in this exact sequence:

1. Open Developer Tools on your browser (usually ctrl/cmd-shift-I)
2. Click on the Console tab of the pane that opens
3. Visit lichess.org/analysis (or reload if you were there already)
4. Toggle analysis on and click the plus button (Go Deeper) if showing a CLOUD eval.
5. Paste any text that appears in the console here. Include your browser, platform, and approximate geographic region.

Posts in this thread that are conversational in nature may be aggressively deleted.

There is nothing here. What does it say in your analysis status? "Error loading engine" or "calculating moves..."

Considering CloudFlare doesn't completely align with LiChess' privacy idea, what would LiChess need to completely say goodbye to CloudFlare?

It simply says loading engine and doesnt load anything for eternity, although the problem got randomly "fixed" but im not sure what caused it or how to stop any further issues..

Watching the tournament, it was also apparent that the engine now breaks the chess board as well, making it "forget" whose turn it is. Not sure if that's relevant.

I'm using chrome on Android and this workaround "alone" didn't work. I had to clear the browser's cache for it to work again in version 14 (didn't try v16, though)

Is there anything an Android user could do to help? I can't seem to find a developer console here.
