Vladimir Kramnik , realism or paranoia?

!!!World champions from 20 years ago would never be world champions today!!!

Kramnik reminds me of Phil Hellmuth of chess.
The problem is he is conducting a witch hunt by his own completely subjective method (that move looks strange to me... and similar reasons) and publically implying that other players are cheating (specific ones and although he may not always name names, it is easy to see who he means). It creates distrust and blackens names of people who are not subject to a fair investigation, instead being publically excoriated. I don't really understand why it is so difficult to see that this is wrong and not helping matters. Noone is saying there isn't a problem with cheating in chess (online). But his actions hurt others and (imo) himself and do not improve things.

Or maybe the well is poisoned and he is further poisoning it when trying to clean it?
Many strong GMs believe that the number of cheaters is much bigger than the number of actually banned players, but accusing too many people with too few convincing arguments (while violating the terms of service along the way, see Krakozia) is unlikely to improve the situation.
in my opinion, kramnik is a confused old man, but his biological age isn't old.

before his current confusion on cheating, he was confused about online blitz having a clock. he expected his online blitz opponents to resign when he was up in material but with only a few seconds left on his clock. when they didn't resign, and kramnik continued taking 5 seconds per move, kramnik would lose on time and get very confused and angry.

I wouldn't be surprised if he was confused about using elevators or turning on a tv.

I should feel more sympathy for him, but, he's being a dick and causing other people harm. I don't think being a confused old man is an excuse for causing harm.

Oh yeah, I hear it now. You have to admit it does sound like "Liwonder Ayang" though. ;-)
