Seriousness is the only commitment I can ask for. I do not expect that you will do all the work. This is an open source project, people put in the time they want and can, and we only look at what has been done, never at what more could have been done.
So yeah, no pressure. We can also name other Russian proofreaders when we find them.
I'm also a native Russian speaker but I'm actually using English as UI language, due to the mentioned incompleteness (I have made some translation suggestions right now, so I'm ready to help with improving this thing). And so, I agree with Wolfram's point of view about transliteration (since it does also resolve the issues with pronunciation, because new players often ask how to pronounce Lichess). In Russian, we also transliterate names of French (and other non-Cyrillic alphabet users') cities, and sometimes even the brands like vehicle manufacturers (for example, Toyota or Volkswagen) or corporation names (General Motors, Microsoft, Twitter etc.)

but the point is that farsri(persian)'s text direction is right to left
but it's still left to right on lichess
