Hi Lichess Developers or whoever might be of some help,
I am requesting that the people of Lichess bring back Daily Racing Kings back to Lichess as there have been many instances of players that I talked to where they said they "miss having RK tournaments to play". Tournaments are a great way to get new players involved with the Racing Kings as well as keeping the community of Racing Kings alive since tournaments can bring people together for some competitive fun.
I think that not having a tournament for Racing Kings is not a good idea for the community as it prohibits the growth of the awesome variant that I love.
I also think that there should also be a weekly and monthly Racing Kings tournaments.
I can assure you this variant isn't dead and there are plenty of people who enjoying playing this variant.

First of all, I would like to say that I enjoy very much to play chess on your server. It helped me getting more and more interested in chess. In fact, when I first discover this site, I encounter some variants that I never saw before, especially the racing kings variant whom I fell in love with. I think that, just like babosos told, that it is very unfortunate that the daily racing kings tournament, which occur at 10 pm eastern time, isn't there anymore. I think this is a variant that we must make it more popular, because it is an interesting one. More and more people would love to get a chance to discover this unusual variant. Many people told me how much they miss this tournament, so do I. I think that, for the good of this chess variant, we should bring back the daily racing kings tournament, and get a monthly tournament just like every variants on this site.
This variant could become more and more popular by creating more tournament, not by removing them.

@Superskill thanks for the reference, but I am not quite how this is an issue? That is just completely wrong whoever Deeporgange is to state that and why is that issue in the first place? Not the number of people for this tournament, but the time is just awful. Its not the RK tournament that is the problem its the fact it is at 10:00 EST.
Also something to note is that Racing Kings had a jump of 20 from 136 to 116 (i believe) people from the last Shield tourney arena. This compared to horde that dropped about 30 people from 139 to 101.

I completely agree with babosos on this one. The fact that this tournament starts at 10 pm eastern time isn't very helpful. I would bet that if this tournament started from the same time that the king of the hill variant started, we would be able to attract more and more players to play racing kings, and they would not be a few players every day in each tournament.
We must bring back this tournament in order to not lose this precious variant. Every variant should be treated equally, and for the die hard players of racing kings, this is just unfair. Racing kings players miss this daily tournament, and I can assure you. The thing is always the same players who shows up to those tournament. Maybe the problem is the time set of the tournament.
If we change the time of the daily tournament, I am pretty sure those tournament would have more players.
I love RK; but its only like the same 5 people playing anytime I see a game. Nothing wrong with them; just kinda boring always playin the same person.
Agreed; the Daily tournament is at a absolutely ridiculous time.
Probably one of those chicken & egg situations where the devs say; RK doesnt get traffic why move it to a peak spot; and we say it doesnt get traffic because its not in a peak spot.

You all don't need to explain it this much...and i agree with u all whatever u all say... Seriously it's not about less ppls playing this Variant..but it's about whether they really have intention to save this Variant and making it popular...i feel like they descriminate with this variant..like they find it a burden to have it on this lichess server...even i have still remember they hadn't created sheild tournaments for racing kings in the beginning ppls convinced fishyvishy and then fishyvishy convinced to mods..thus rk sheild came into existence after a long effort... neither I m complaining nor requesting now to make this Variant still alive....u all better let it die... seriously it 's better than dying every second and everyday ..we will miss it few days or weeks after that everything would be normal..like nothing happened before but i believe anything is possible if anyone have strong will to achieve anything ....even this wonderful site which i love self wouldn't have come into existence if thibault and other mods hadn't done hard work to make it possible but they did ...so this way just need a strong will to make it RK popular instead of excuses and ppls complaint
You know that you simply can create your own tournament if you want to!? Just go to the tournament page. On the upper right corner, there is a "create" button.
